Our Story
Officially the Pro Projects story began in July 2021 — but unofficially it began more than 10 years ago, when Logan and Kane first encountered one another when they worked for the same construction company, Logan as a builder and Kane as a painter and plasterer. They not only appreciated one another’s work (Kane describes Logan as a shining light even then), they became great mates, a friendship that endured even after several years of going in separate directions.
That friendship picked up again where it left off several years ago when they crossed paths on the tools once more, working for two separate companies but doing a lot of crossover jobs, on bar fit-outs, new builds and renovations. During 2020, when external circumstances impacted the building industry and much else besides, a logical path forward became clear to both of them, and Logan and Kane decided to pool their substantial experience and shared commitment to the highest quality, to form Pro Projects, a building company whose core value is providing worry-free, transparent, quality builds, on-time and to each client’s individual expectations and satisfaction.
Logan and Kane will be the first to say that Pro Projects is more than its two directors — it’s the extended team of young builders, for one thing, as well as a trusted network of sub-trades who Logan and Kane trust completely, not only to drop everything to come on board when needed, but to deliver the best quality work. But even more than that, it’s the people behind the company as well — their families, and the families of the entire team. They come first.
The biggest buzz the guys get from their work is the help they are able to give to charities — some $250,000 worth of free work in recent years, from a skate park for the Grace Foundation, to a women’s refuge in Henderson. They’ve taken particular delight in helping out Dave Letele’s Butterbean Motivation, with projects including a child’s wheelchair access ramp, as well as the BBM Community Kitchen and Foodbank, which feeds the homeless. They’re not into blowing trumpets — but if Pro Projects is in a position to help people who are doing it tough, they’ll always do what they can.

Director
Logan Keane
“Always one step ahead…”
Logan has been in the trade for more than 20 years — as a qualified carpenter for 18 years, an LBP for more than 10 years, and a member of NZCB for more than 15 years.
He is married to Ashleigh, and, like Kane, family is everything — which includes a large extended family. A good thing that he loves to cook! And when he’s not busy with work or family, you can find Logan on the golf course too, one stroke ahead or one stroke behind Kane, depending on the weather.
Kane Fraser
“Making everything work like clockwork…”
Kane, with 25 years in the trade behind him, has been married to Courtney for 14 years and has three children: daughter Paige, son Charlie and daughter Billie. When work and family isn’t occupying Kane’s time, you can find him on the golf course.
